The Kamp KACE Winter Retreat is a special weekend experience for cancer survivors ages 16–22, focused on connection, reflection, and fun. Held each winter at YMCA Camp Cormorant, this retreat brings together high school and college-age survivors in a supportive, welcoming environment.
Kampers enjoy winter activities like tubing and ice fishing, along with cozy indoor time for crafts, conversation, games, and unlimited hot cocoa. Throughout the weekend, survivors have space to share experiences, talk about life after cancer, and connect with others who truly understand the journey.
The retreat is fully supervised by Kamp KACE nurses, volunteers, and trusted counselors, with thoughtful programming and guest speakers centered on young adult survivorship. Most importantly, the Winter Retreat is a chance to unplug, build friendships, and reconnect with a community that feels like home.
