Kids Against Cancer Everywhere
Kamp KACE (Kids Against Cancer Everywhere) was founded in 1986. It is located in central Minnesota. It can accommodate up to 100 campers.
Doctors and nurses from Essentia and the Sanford Health/Roger Maris Cancer Center make up a large part of the staff. They are on site and on duty at all times to distribute medications and provide any necessary treatment. Their dedication makes it possible for school-aged children in all stages of cancer treatment to attend Kamp.
A week of Kamp costs $800 per camper and is funded 100% by donations.
We invite you to give the gift of hope to a child with cancer. Your generous donation ensures that children with cancer can enjoy Kamp for years to come.
Read Roderick Morth's extraordinary essay about courage...
When I was five years old they thought I had the flu. What we thought would be a quick trip to the doctor for something to make me feel better turned out to be a year of battles, one after another while I fought for my life against a brain stem tumor.
Each year 25 - 30 out of every 100,000 children younger than 15 years are diagnosed with cancer.
